The Essence of Kucing Stud Earring (Single)

The Kucing Earrings from Lievik Atelier’s Archeologist Collection draw inspiration from the deep cultural significance of cats in Nusantara and ancient spiritual traditions. In Javanese-Hindu and Buddhist beliefs, cats are seen as mystical beings—symbols of intuition, independence, and spiritual guardianship. In Balinese Hindu culture, cats are often associated with prosperity and protection, believed to bring balance and ward off negative energies. In traditional Nusantara folklore, cats are respected for their connection to unseen realms, moving fluidly between the physical and spiritual worlds.

This design reflects that duality through the fusion of two symbolic elements: a small, molten sterling silver form, representing the fluid, instinctive nature of the cat, and a round brass piece with Wos Wutah Pamor, symbolizing prosperity and the natural flow of life. The Wos Wutah Pamor, with its scattered grain-like patterns, signifies endless blessings and abundance—paralleling the cat’s ability to always land on its feet, adapting to life’s changes with grace.

Lightweight yet rich in meaning, the Kucing Earrings celebrate those who walk their own path with curiosity and quiet wisdom, embodying the enigmatic charm and sacred presence of the cat in Nusantara’s spiritual and cultural heritage.
