"The Paradox of Creation" is a collaborative project between Maverick Made. and Lievik Atelier, uniting the ancient arts of Pamor blacksmithing and leathercraft to explore the paradoxes of life, transformation, and permanence.

At its core, this project is an exploration of opposing yet complementary forces—the hardness of metal and the suppleness of leather, the permanence of the forge and the adaptability of hide, the symbolism of creation and the echoes of history. Through this collaboration, we recontextualise traditional materials into contemporary objects that challenge perceptions of luxury, craftsmanship, and meaning.

Thematic Essence
Transformation & Legacy – Both blacksmithing and leatherwork give new life to raw materials. Leather, once living, is preserved through craftsmanship, while metal, lifeless in its raw form, is brought to purpose through fire and forge.

Subversion of Material Perception – Metal is not just industrial and rigid; it carries spirit and meaning. Leather is not just a byproduct of industry; it is a material of survival, history, and reinvention.

Rebellion Through Craft – Maverick Made. challenges conventional notions of luxury, while Lievik Atelier revives an age-old craft that defies mass production. Together, the project embodies craftsmanship as resistance, a statement against the disposable and the uninspired.

Fire & Water / Earth & Blood – Maverick Made. seeks to mimic Pamor patterns using marbling techniques where paint is suspended in water to create layers of patterns seen on Pamor that’s forged in fire.
